While many gamers are familiar with Xbox and Xbox 360, many don’t know what the difference really is. Actually, there are many differences between the two.
Xbox was one of the first consoles from Microsoft that came onto the market early in the new century. This gaming console was expected to a be flop. While, at first, the console wasn’t a huge hit it eventually became one!

The Xbox 360 is available in three different variants; the Arcade, the Pro (simply Xbox 360) or the Elite.
The Arcade was, at one time, considered the “Core” which was discontinued in October of 2007. The Arcade is the entry level for the console and often starts at around $279.00. It includes a wireless controller, AV cable, HDMI output and an internal memory of 256 meg’s.
The Pro includes all the same features of the previous console but includes a hybrid composite and component cable with optional output. It also comes with a 60 gig detachable hard drive to store all of your gaming content. It does come with the HDMI outputs but does not include the cable. The starting price for this package is $299.00.
The Elite is the most expensive of the three Microsoft consoles but includes a 120 gig hard drive and a matte black finish. The HDMI cable is included in this package and comes with a headset and controller, also in matte black finish. It starts at around $479.99 and can be found online or in stores.
Depending on your budget and your preferences you can find a gaming console that’s right for you. If your budgets not big then you may want to start out at with the Arcade and perhaps work your way up. Ask your friends and family who may have a console which they prefer and perhaps even play it before you buy. It’s a big investment and you want to be certain that you purchase the gaming console that’s right for you and your budget.
